Madlyn Harris Flitton passed away at Rocky Mountain Care September 4, 2019 where she had been residing since 2014.
She was born June 16, 1936 to Moses Holiday Harris and Mary Luzon Goodwin in Logan, Utah. She was their 5th child of 6.
She has lived a full life in spite of her disabilities, and has always been a special spirit. She has been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Madlyn married Clifford Flitton June 1996 in Ogden, Utah. He passed away March 2013. She enjoyed sewing, card making, crocheting, fishing, country music, The Lone Ranger and bowling. She was on many Special Olympic teams when she was younger and won many medals. She held many different jobs and supported herself.
Madlyn is survived by two sisters, Sally Williams (Young Ward) and Carolyn Bolden (Oregon) and many nieces and nephews that love her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and three siblings Shirley Kohler, Mary Lu Pickens and Phil Harris.
The family would like to thank the staff at Project Turn in Ogden that took such good care of her for so many years, especially Celia Orr. Madlyn loved her time with them and talked of them often. Thank you to Dr. Firth who treated so lovingly, and the staff at Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice. She touched the hearts of many. Her sweet spirit will be missed by all her knew and loved her.
Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. A viewing will take place Sunday, September 8, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan. Graveside services will be Monday, September 9th at the Logan City Cemetery beginning at 11:00 am.
