Logan, Utah: Magdalena Michel, 83, passed away in her sleep on Monday, July 16, 2012 at the Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Logan, Utah on September 12, 1928, the daughter of John and Margaritha Amacher Michel.
She spent her childhood playing with her brothers and sisters at the family home in Logan, Utah.
During her youth, she learned how to work and felt is was a gift, which would serve her the rest of her life. Often saying, “My mother taught me to work.”
Magdalena graduated form Logan High School. Shortly after her high school graduation, Magdalena moved to Sacramento where she joined her older sister. She lived in Sacramento for 64 years.
She was employed by Pacific Bell Telephone Company for 40 years, working in the Operational Department as a drafts woman.
Magdalena had may interests. She loved to travel, collect antiques, fish and bow hunt. She enjoyed spending time with her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaritha, brothers Frederick and Eugene and her sister, Ryta Bishoff.
She is survived by her sisters, Esther Kirkham, Ruth Woodruff, Norma Reese, Betty Lou Needham, and a brother, George Michel.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the Logan City Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Family and friends are invited to attend. Memories and condolences my be shared with the family at
