Maisie Haskie Jensen, age 61, beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend suddenly passed away in her home in Ogden, Utah on May 18, 2015. Born on March 22, 1954, in Holla Mesa, Arizona to Joe Haskie & Isabelle Begay Johnson. She was raised in Ogden, Utah by Forrest & Eda Waters. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1972.
Her life centered on bringing a smile to everyone’s face. Her enthusiasm was contagious and she made friends quickly. She loved walks, and scouring the neighborhoods for garage sales. Kindness radiated from her, and it was like a light shone from within when she entered a room. She was always rooting for the underdogs, and was so giving to those that were less fortunate.
Her greatest joys were her children. She basked in their accomplishments, and there was never a doubt how much she loved them. She treasured the moments that she spent with her children and grandchildren, and made sure there was a bright lipstick mark on their cheek as they left.
She is survived by both parents, her six children; Shane Arrington, Chad Arrington, Ashley Jensen, Tawni Platt, Travis Jensen, and Ryan Jensen. Grandchildren; Tyler, Cassidy, Megan, Kiersten, Lexi, Dax, Jerica Arrington, Karlie Carson, Kairie Jensen-Page, Isla and Ruger Platt. She also leaves siblings, foster siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, all of which she held a place in her heart.
Funeral services will be noon on Tuesday, May 26, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St, Logan, Utah. A viewing will be held at Allen-Hall Mortuary the same day 10:30-11:30 a.m. Burial will be at the Hyrum City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would gratefully request donations be made to an account that they have set up at America First Credit Union in her name.
