Margaret Campbell

Margaret Kay Spackman Campbell, age 75, passed away December 14, 2013 in Logan, Utah. She was born in Smithfield Utah on December 19, 1937 to parents Henry and Reta Spackman. She was raised in Smithfield and graduated from North Cache High School. Margaret married Kay R. Campbell in 1957 in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. After their marriage Kay and Margaret moved to the Seattle area where Kay worked for Boeing Corporation. A short time later, they moved back to Cache Valley when Kay found employment at Hill Air Force Base. They bought their first home in Logan, and in 1975 they moved their family to Providence and settled there until Kay's death in 1998. Margaret and Kay were blessed with six wonderful children who brought them much joy..
Margaret was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and had a deep testimony of the Savior She was a faithful disciple of Jesus Christ by the way she conducted herself around others. She was kind and loving to all. Margaret always had a kind word to say to everyone. She was a delight to be around and so thoughtful to others in every way. Margaret served in many callings in the church, including serving at the Logan Temple.
Margaret had many talents. She loved to paint with watercolors, do pencil sketches and calligraphy. She enjoyed playing the organ, she was a fine seamstress and made clothing for her children when they were young. She worked hard at all things, she was a excellent cook and kept a clean home.
Margaret worked outside the home at various jobs, but her favorite job was being home raising her children. She was an amazing mother who taught us through her great example. She taught her children to always have a positive outlook on life and to strive to always do our best at all things. She taught us integrity, virtue, honesty and she taught us the Gospel of Jesus Christ through word and deed. She was a tender loving mother and her children were always her first priority. She was a great supporter of her families activities and enjoyed their accomplishments. She was a great influence to us. Her family was very special to her, including her extended family.
Margaret is now with her eternal companion, Kay, and others who have preceded her in death, her parents, brothers, Dallan and Wayne, her sister Elaine Godderidge, three grandchildren, Candace, Kortney, and Claire. She is survived by her loving children and spouses, Marcia (Brad) Parkinson, Wellsville, UT, Kristin (Kyle) Andersen, Highland, UT, Sandra (Von) Farnsworth, Providence, UT, Kenneth (Debbie) Campbell, Exeter, CA, Jerilyn (Lance) Lawson, Smithfield, UT, Justin (Aline) Campbell, Smithfield UT, twenty grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. Margaret had a great posterity. We love her and were blessed to have her in our lives. We will miss her beautiful countenance and smile. She leaves us with great memories to cherish throughout the rest of our lives.
Funeral services will be held Friday December 20, 2013 at noon at the Providence, UT. LDS church at 355 East Canyon Road. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 10:30AM- 11:30 AM. A viewing will also be held on Thursday evening, December 19, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center in Logan, UT. Interment at the Providence, UT. Cemetery.
