Margaret M. Tams

September 4, 1915 — October 22, 2005

Logan – Margaret M. Tams, age 90, passed away at Logan
Regional Hospital October 22, 2005. She was born
September 4, 1915, the second of eight children, to
Jesse C. and Mary S. Murphy in Logan, Utah. She
attended Logan City schools, graduating from Logan
High. She then attended Dixie Ruth Beauty College. She
was part owner and operator of Marzel Beauty Shop for
many years, working into her 80’s. She married Floyd
Tams in 1945. They were later divorced.
Throughout her life, she enjoyed working in her yard
and garden, crocheted beautiful afghans, also knitted,
enjoyed reading and getting together with her family.
She was a life long member of the Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter Day Saints. She taught Sunday School
for many years in the Logan 13th Ward.
She is survived by one son, David Bruce (Linda), three
grandchildren, Teresa Hallberg, Lisa (Bruce) Childs
and Robert Tams. She is also survived by seven
great-grandchildren; Brianna and Austin Hallberg,
Jaden and Bracken Camphouse, and Bre, Shelby and
Dalton Childs. Also surviving are three sisters; Kaye
Roskelley, Lola (Don) Hansen and Carol Lisonbee and
many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by
her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00pm, Tuesday,
October 25, 2005 at the Logan City Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall
