Maria Gutierrez Gutierrez

Maria Gutierrez was born December 19, 1927 in Agua Blanca, Huixquilucan, Mexico and passed away Dec. 3, 2014 at Logan Regional Hospital of natural causes. Maria worked as a housemaid in Mexico before moving to Logan, Utah in 2000 to be closer to local family members. She is survived by her children Jose Alfredo Gutierrez (California), Rosa Elena Vargas Gutierrez (Mexico) and Veronica Vargas Cabrera (Logan), and two grandchildren Anthony and Jessica. Maria is preceded in death by her parents Teofilo and Julia Gutierrez and her husband Arnulfo Vargas, her sister Simona and her brother Sidronio. A viewing will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9 at 9:30-10:30 a.m. and funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the Logan 3rd Ward LDS Church house at 250 N. 400 West, Logan, Utah.Funeral services are under the direction of Allen Mortuary of North Logan and can be contacted at 435-753-3049.
