Marilyn Hilton Israelsen
(1930-2016)
Following a brief illness, Marilyn Hilton Israelsen was called home by her Heavenly Father on January 16, 2016. She lived a life full of adventure, service, and love. She was born to Clement P. and Evelyn Louise Schank Hilton on February 25, 1930, in Salt Lake City, UT. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in Fine Arts. She met her eternal sweetheart, Earl Israelsen, while he was stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Denver, CO, and they were married in the Logan LDS Temple on April 15, 1953. They raised 8 children, who were the joy of her life.
Marilyn loved to paint and she was a very accomplished and talented artist. Over the course of Marilyn and Earl’s 57 years of marriage they were able to travel all over the world, and served 3 LDS Missions. Marilyn was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and served in many positions.
Marilyn leaves behind her 8 children, their spouses and families: Ron (Sheri), Brent (Dana), Margie (Hoyt), Brian (Megan), Linda (John), Cheri, Juli (Ron), Kyle (Jan); 37 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her 3 siblings: Janice, David, and Vicki. She was preceded in death by her husband, C. Earl Israelsen, and her parents.
A viewing will be held on Friday evening, January 22, 2016, from 6 to 8 pm at the Allen Mortuary, 420 E 1800 N, North Logan, UT. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the North Logan Stake Center, 2750 N 800 E, North Logan, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:00-11:30 am. Interment will be at the North Logan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Perpetual Education Fund.
