Marilyn Ainscough Johnson passed from this life at the age of 91 on February 5, 2014 at the Terrace Grove Assisted Living Center in Logan Utah. She was born to Charles and Marguerite Ainscough, the oldest of eight children on November 27, 1922 in Preston Idaho. Marilyn was a member of the LDS church.
Marilyn met and fell for her best friend’s older brother, Donald C. Johnson. They were married on December 14, 1944. Their married life started out together in Jacksonville Florida where Don was stationed in the United States Navy. After the war ended Don and Marilyn settled in Denver Colorado where they raised their family and lived for many years. After retirement Marilyn and Don returned to Cache Valley where they spent their summers. Winters were spent in Yuma Arizona.
Marilyn worked different part time jobs over the years but her main job and the one she loved most was being a wife and a mother. Marilyn was an avid reader and loved to travel. Her favorite memories were of times spent with friends and family.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and her beloved husband Don and son Perry. She is survived by her children, Linda (David) Cleeland of Estes Park Colorado, David (Joyce) Johnson of Thornton Colorado and Carol (Bob) Steffenhagen of Logan Utah. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, one brother and four sisters. Services will be conducted Tuesday February 11th at 11 a.m. at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan Utah. Prior to the services a viewing will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Preston Idaho Cemetery.
