Marilyn Birch Kruse, 69, passed away on February 18, 2013 surrounded by her family after a valiant 13 year fight with breast cancer.
Marilyn was born March 26th, 1943 in Montpelier, Idaho, to Clarence and Eleonora Tasso Birch. She grew up in Cokeville, Wyoming and graduated from Cokeville High School. She continued her education at the University of Wyoming, where she received a bachelor's degree in Home Economics Education. She earned her master's degree from Utah State University while raising her busy family. Marilyn worked as an academic advisor at Utah State for over 32 years, receiving many Advisor of the Year Awards.
Marilyn spent many years as a board member for the Cache Valley Civic Ballet, where she gave her time and talents to help her daughters and many aspiring young dancers. She loved quilting and participated in local quilt guilds, and was a faithful participant in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Most of all, Marilyn gave her life to her kids and grandkids. The love and support of this incredible mother and grandmother will be greatly missed.
Marilyn is survived by her sister, Sandra and husband Jerry Jones. She is also survived by her children and their spouses, Brian Kruse, Jennifer and Brian Balls, Brad and Jennifer Kruse, and Julie and Dustin Clements. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
A viewing will be held for Marilyn at the Allen-Hall Mortuary at 34 East Center Street in Logan on Friday, February 22nd from 9:00-11:00 am, followed by graveside services at 2:00 pm at the Cokeville Wyoming Cemetery.
