Marla Brenchley Bankhead, 85, passed away on May 10, 2022 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born to Evan H. and Pearl Brenchley Bankhead in Wellsville, Utah on January 9, 1937. She was the youngest daughter of four children, brothers Jay, Wayne, and Gerald.
She grew up on the family farm developing strong work ethics. Marla attended Wellsville Elementary, South Cache High and was a great advocate and participated in all kinds of sports. She enjoyed playing golf, and going fishing in Couer D'Alene, Idaho on the Flat Head Lake with her many friends. She played softball for the shamrocks for many years, winning many championships. Marla was inducted into the Utah Hall of Fame for Athletics.
Marla moved to Salt Lake City after graduating from High School working for the State of Utah where she retired after 36 years, working in the Technical Management Division of the Tax Commission.
Marla will always be remembered for her large heart and generosity.
She is survived by her two sister-in-laws Betty Bankhead (Jay), LaFaye (Wayne) and 8 nieces and nephews.
Marla was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Jay, Wayne, and Gerald. Her sister-in-law Janet (Gerald). Nieces; Palette Balle, Rachel Bankhead, and nephew Dale Bankhead.
Services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary, and will be held Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 12 PM.
At the LDS Church located at; 49 West 200 South Wellsville, Utah. A viewing will be held prior to the services from 10:30-11:30 AM.
