HYDE PARK, UTAH: Marnette Reeder Woolley, 84, of Salt Lake City, died at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, January 24, 2013, where she has been a resident for three years.
Marnette was born March 15, 1928 to Mary Manetta Hancey and Martin Charles Reeder, in Hyde Park, Utah, the youngest of eight children. She died at St. Joseph Villa in Salt Lake City, January 24, 2013, where she has been a resident for three years. She graduated from Hyde Park Elementary School, North Cache High School, and Utah State Agricultural College, and later received a master’s degree from the University of Illinois. She taught first and second grade in Clearfield, Utah, Urbana, Illinois, and in Berkeley, California, where she taught in the University of California demonstration school, Whittier Elementary School.
She married Joseph T. Woolley in the Logan Temple on June 17, 1952, and was the mother of four children, Martin Cloyd (who died in infancy), David (Cyndie), Suzi Campbell (Ken), and Robert. Five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A life-long active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many positions in including Stake Relief Society President in the Champaign Illinois Stake and director of the stake genealogical library.
A brief service will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan, Utah on Monday, January 28th at 11:00 am. There will be visitation that morning from 10:00 - 10:45 am.
