Martha Williamson Dixon
Martha passed away peacefully in Sunshine Terrace on June 12th. She was born to Aldrich and Delpha Williamson in 1923 in Davis , CA . She earned both Bachelors and Masters degrees from the University of California at Berkeley and a PhD in Colonial American History from the University of Utah . She served as a reference librarian at the USU Library, and she was a food editor and feature writer at The Herald Journal. She volunteered for several years at Somebody’s Attic, and she took a strong interest in local matters, particularly zoning and planning. She was an avid golfer, and she enjoyed classical music, fishing, camping, traveling, and good mysteries. She is survived by her husband, Keith, of Logan and daughter, Melissa, of West Valley City . She will be remembered as a loving partner, mother and friend. Anyone wishing to honor Martha’s memory is encouraged to make a donation to a charity of their choice in her name.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, June 17 at the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be extended to the family online at
