Washington, Utah: Martha Archibald Glenn Sharp, 90, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2010 in Washington, Utah.
Martha was born on December 20, 1919 in Wellsville, Utah to John Bankhead and Elizabeth Archibald Glenn. She graduated from South Cache High School in 1938 and went on to beauty school and graduated in 1939. She worked as a hair stylist out of her home.
She married John T. Sharp on February 4, 1941 in the Logan Temple. She served an LDS Mission with her husband from 1941 to 1942 in the Central States Mission. She has also served in the Relief Society. Martha was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Peter Maughan Camp.
She has resided in Blue Creek, Utah; Wellsville, Utah; Downey, Idaho; Preston, Idaho; Moore, Idaho; Star Valley, Wyoming; and Washington, Utah.
She is survived by her husband, John T. Sharp and six children: Michael T. (Nina) Sharp of Kent, Washington; Ronald J. (Diane) Sharp of Leawood, Kansas; Liz (Kyle) Casper of Stockton, California; Ivan G. (Lisa) Sharp of Amalga, Utah; Paulette (William) Kennedy of Wellsville, Utah and Zan V. (Vivian) Sharp of Wellsville, Utah. She is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Margret Miller of Kaysville, Utah and a sister-in-law, Beatrice Glenn of Caldwell, Idaho.
She was preceded in death by her son, Steven G. Sharp, four brothers: Crosby Glenn, Adam Glenn, LeRoy Glenn and Irvin Glenn; and two sisters: Eva Parkinson and Beth Casperson.
Funeral services will be held at 12:000 PM on Saturday, May 1, 2010 in the Wellsville Ward Chapel, 195 South Center. A viewing will be held on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Allen-Hall Mortuary and prior to services at the church on Saturday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM.
