Mary J. Boudrero

December 25, 1929 — May 14, 2014

At the age of 84, Mary Jean Nielsen Boudrero passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on May 14, 2014 in Logan, Utah. Born on December 25, 1929, Mary was the seventh of eight children born to Marriner and Margaret Nielsen of Providence, Utah. She attended Cache County Schools, graduating from South Cache High School. On May 31, 1951 she married and was sealed to Robert H. Boudrero in the Idaho Falls temple. For the first seven years they resided in Ogden where they had 3 of their 5 children. They later moved to Logan where Robert continued to work as a mechanic and ran the family farm with Mary’s assistance. Mary’s primary job was raising her children. She was later blessed to have 2 more children. She was an active member of the LDS Church and faithfully served in many positions. Mary was loved by everyone that knew her. Many people often referred to her as their adopted grandma. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed doing hand work such as crocheting, quilting and embroidery. Summers were spent gardening, canning and enjoying the flowers in her yard. She loved to read and took every opportunity she could to travel and spend time with her family. One of the things she looked forward to the most was having her grandchildren sleepover and waking them up to Mickey Mouse pancakes with homemade raspberry jam. Not only were the sleepovers cherished by Mary but her grandchildren cherish those memories as well.
She is survived her sons Robert H. Jr., Logan, and Paul (Carla Bostock), Troy Idaho and daughters Marianne (Steven) Folkman, Logan, and Michelle (Rand) Meyerhoffer, Logan. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Haines Stratford (Layton), Sam Fletcher (Springfield, UT), and Doyle Packer (Vista, CA). She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and all of her siblings, her son Michael Boudrero, daughter- in-law Debbie Boudrero and grandson Zachary Folkman. She has 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 2 more great-grandchildren on the way.
Funeral services will be held Monday, May 19 at noon at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan. A viewing will be held at the same Allen-Hall Mortuary Sunday evening, May 18 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and from 10:30 to 11:30 am prior to services. Burial will be in the Logan City Cemetery. The family would like send a special thank you for all who cared for Mary during the past 6 years while she was living at the Sunshine Terrace.
