Logan – Mary Louise Duce, 69, passed unexpectedly of a pulmonary embolism on July 12, 2016. She was born June 6, 1947 in Jackson Hole, Wyoming to Blaine Gilbert McInelly and Phyllis Irene Ward. Married to George John Duce on September 4, 1965 and later sealed with their 3 older children in the Logan Temple on October 3 1975.
As a youth, because of her father’s employment with construction, they moved various times and lived in multiple areas including North Dakota, South Dakota, and all over Wyoming. Her education included a GED and many certifications in the healthcare industry. She enjoyed serving others and spending time making others feel loved. These jobs included Medical Assistant, Home Health Care, Medical Ward Clerk, and Geriatric Care. She also served in various callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as Homemaking Leader, Primary Teacher, Boy Scouts Leader, and Visiting Teacher over the course of her life. She also enjoyed serving as a leader in the 4-H, the PTA, and as a volunteer in various other organizations.
Survived by four children Michael Duce, Layton; Lisa (Travis) Thompson, Logan; Vicki (Blaine) Bagley, Salt Lake City; J.D. (Jon David) (Stefanie) Duce, Smithfield; 12 grandbabies and 3 great-grandbabies. Preceded in death by parents Blaine Gilbert McInelly and Phyllis Irene Ward and her loving husband George John Duce.
A viewing will be held on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and on friday morning from 10:00 am till 11:00 am at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center, Logan. A private family graveside will follow in the Richmond City Cemetery.
