Port St. Lucie, Florida--Mary E. Fisk, 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep due to dementia January 10, 2017.
Born June 7, 1927 in Ft Smith, Arkansas to Walter and Doris Ayers. Married Edward Penn Fisk, Aug 21, 1948 in Santa Barbara, California. He died March 23, 2003.
Mary received a Bachelors from Pomona College and a Masters from the University of Southern California, both in Piano Performance. She lived overseas many years with her husband, while he initiated and created large water projects for several desert nations. They moved to Logan, Utah in 1973. Mary conducted the Logan Central Stake Choir, Ward Choir, and the Ladies Bel Canto Choir. She accompanied the Men’s Imperial Glee Club, enjoyed square dancing, snow and water skiing, Tony’s Grove picnics, and riding the most extreme rides at Lagoon. She and Ed served an LDS service mission for 12 years in Utah, Arizona, and Hawaii.
Survived by her 4 daughters Carolyn (Steve) Austin of Houston, TX; Donna England of Roy, UT; Mary Short (Stan) of Port St. Lucie, FL; & Catherine Monson of Provo, UT; 17 grandchildren; & 33 great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, January 21, 2017, at noon at Allen Mortuary 420 E. 1800 N. North Logan. Viewing will precede funeral and start at 10:30am. Mary will be laid to rest in the Logan Cemetery after the funeral. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family online at
