Mary Louise Hendricks, 94, Logan, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great- grandmother passed away from causes incident to age, on August 21, 2016. She was born November 10, 1921 in Lewiston, Utah to Nephi S. Johnson and Mary Louisa Egbert, and was the youngest of seven children. She attended Cache Valley schools and the U of U. She met William Dale Hendricks and they married on December 23, 1942 in Walterboro, South Carolina. Soon after, he left his new bride to serve as a pilot during World War II. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They eventually settled in Cache Valley where in the fall of 1951, Dale contracted polio, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. She enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Birch Creek Women’s Golf Association, holding many positions. She and Dale enjoyed being members of a local dance club for many years. Mary Lou is survived by her children, Carroll (Joe) Comish, Lewiston; Kathryn Rives, Roy; Stephen (Pam) Hendricks, Farmington; Barbara (Walt) Ryan, South Ogden; Marilyn (Monte) Williamson, North Logan; and David (Karren) Hendricks, Nibley; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, and her siblings. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street, Logan at 12 p.m. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday at 10:30 a.m., prior to the services. Burial will be in the Smithfield Cemetery. We would like to thank everyone at Terrace Grove for the loving, compassionate care given Mary Lou for the last 5 years.
