LOGAN, UTAH: Mary Jane Wyatt Harris, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 in Logan at the age of 98. She was born on June 25, 1915 in Idaho Falls, Idaho a daughter of Alfred H. and Hannah Thorpe Wyatt. She was one year old when the family moved back to Wellsville. She attended Floradell Elementary and Wellsville Junior High Schools.
Mary married Leo M. Harris on October 7, 1933. They were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple. They lived in the Wyatt family home in Wellsville and raised two daughters.
Mary served in the Primary and Relief Society organizations in the Wellsville First Ward. She enjoyed doing genealogy, sewing, quilting, crocheting and knitting lace. She was employed as a seamstress at Logan Cache Knitting Mills for 11 years and later at E. A. Miller,Inc.
Leo died on March 31, 1981, after 47 years of marriage. After his death Mary moved to Logan to be near her daughters and their families. She was a member of the Bridgerland Park 1st Ward.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Cleo (Clark) Page, Sharlene and Merlin Kendrick, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a brother, Earl Wyatt, a sister, Eva Green; a son-in-law, Clark Page.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 12:00 pm in the Wellsville City Cemetery. There will be a viewing from 10:00 - 11:30 am at the Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences and memories may be shared online at
