Lewiston, Utah: Mary Bateman Perkins, 81, passed away on 5 Dec 2007 in Logan, Ut. of age related health conditions. She was born 28 Mar 1926 in Etna, Wyo. to Wiffen Delbert and Catherine Lauretta Bateman. She graduated from Star Valley High School where she received awards in Homemaking. She was blessed with talents such as poetry, cooking, sewing, quilting, canning, gardening and farming.
She married Farn Franklin Perkins on September 22, 1944 in the Logan Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple. Mary and Farn lived in Thayne, Wyo. where they were blessed with six children. The family moved to Lewiston, Ut in 1959 where they lived until recently and where living at the Beehive Assisted Living Home in Logan UT. at the time of her death.
She served in many capacities in the LDS Church, and Farn and Mary served a LDS mission to the Washington, Seattle Mission.
She is survived by her husband Farn Perkins of Logan, UT, a brother Rex Bateman of Etna Wyo, a sister Verdena Bunderson of Bloomington, Ill, five children; Janet (Ned) Morrison of Hyrum, UT, Marie McOmber of Lewiston, UT., Diane (Charles) Spackman of Trenton, UT, Larry (MaryLou) Perkins of Wartburg, TN, and Judy (Roger) Carter of Rigby, ID, 30 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter (Darlene Perkins), grandson (Nathan Perkins), a brother (Reynold Bateman) and a sister (Grace Ellen Burke).
She was a very sweet and caring wife, mother, and sister and will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 10, 2007 at 12:00 PM in the Lewiston 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 10 South 1600 West in Lewiston, UT. A viewing will be held on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Lewiston 2nd Ward Building and prior to services on Monday from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Condolences may be sent to the family at
