Mary C. Johnson
Mary Charlotte Johnson, 92, passed away surrounded by her family on November 26, 2009. She was born March 17, 1917 at Shelby, York County, Nebraska to the parent of Parry Paul Johnson and Clistie May Babcock.
Survived by her sister Aulene Louise Johnson Maurer. Mary's Nieces and nephews include: Marilyn Coon, Lucinda Eggelston, Stephen Maurer, Earl Maurer, Stanley Maurer, and Maurine Porter and numerous great nieces and nephews that will miss her dearly. She moved with her parents to Logan Utah in 1930 where she attended one year of college to further her education and then went on to work at Ben Franklin's under Louis Fernoff then to the Herold Journal under Gunter Rassmussen and then went to work at Federal Land Bank before retiring in 1981. While in Logan she was active in the BPW and held many positions in the 11th ward.
She then moved to Mesa, Arizona with her late sister Opal Johnson. They were called to serve in the Mesa temple and held this calling for twelve years. She loved serving in the temple and understood that the Savior lives and loves His children. She was active in the Park View Branch in Mesa, and completes many service projects including 500 quilts as humanitarian project.
Funeral services will be held at 2:15 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2009 in the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 E. Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held prior to services from 1:30 to 2:00 PM. Interment will be in the Logan City Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at
