Mary Farmer Henderson Spring

Mary H. Spring

Our beloved mother and grandmother Mary Farmer Henderson Spring, 85, passed away on June 2, 2009 at Logan Regional Hospital. She is now with her husband and the love of her life of 67 years.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1924 in Preston, Idaho to Marion Harmon and Eva Grace Henderson. She married Wallace Spring on Sept. 11, 1941 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings most recently as Compassionate Service Leader. She served for many years as a temple worker at the Logan Temple.
She has been a member of the Smithfield Lions Club for many years. She enjoyed working at the Lions concessions stand at the Smithfield Blue Sox baseball diamond. She was an active member of the Scarlet Bonnets Red Hats where she made many dear friends.
She loved being with her family and having her family visit. She enjoyed cooking and sharing with friends and neighbors. She loved gardening, visiting with friends and Red Hats.
She retired from Cache Valley Dairy after working for 28 years.
She is survived by her five children, two sons and three daughters. Wallace H. Spring (Gwen) of Logan UT., Mary Ellen Nelson (Theron) of Rexburg, ID., Sharon Powell (Gary) of Silverdale, WA., Karen Todd (Scott) of Mesa AZ., Craig H. Spring (Sue) of St. George, UT.
She has 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and four brothers and a grandson.

A special thanks to the Logan Regional Hospital ICU and TCU nursing staff, and to the Intermountain Hospice Team for the wonderful care they gave to our mother.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 6, 2009 in the Smithfield 4th Ward Chapel, 79 E. 200 S., Smithfield, UT. A viewing will be held at the church from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the services. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery. Funeral services are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
