Dear friends and family,
Our mother and mother in law, grandmother and great grand mother Mary Lucille Read passed away Wednesday May 6th, 2011 11:25a.m., at the age of 90 years old in the comfort of her own bedroom, in her own home. Her daughter, Theresa was so incredible and so diligent in taking care of mother through the very long arduous years as dementia took mom apart piece by piece. Also Mary's son, Robert Bruce Read and daughter in law Anita were there holding vigil until the final moment of death arrived. Gratefully, Anita was there to pronounce her time of death with Robert and Theresa in attendance. We were all able to comfort each other as mother's body lay still and no longer in major discomfort. Mom left serenely peaceful know that everyone of her family loved her.
Our mother ,Mary Read, was generous to a fault with her time, monies and talents and the way she looked at earth's beauty.
She id survived by her children Robert Bruce Read and daughter Theresa Ray Read-Terry as well as her daughter in-law, Anita Amelia Eubanks-Read. Her grandchildren, Phil L. Read, Kameron C.Read- Cox, Brucie Wayne Dupuis, Heather Melissa Terry-Holt. Great grand children: Cassandra Laine Read 21, McKenzie Read, 19 Tucker Sampson Read 14, Morgan Ashley Cox age 3 and Shelby Elise Cox, age 1.
Mother will be laid to rest at the Logan Cemetery, Thursday, May 12, 2011 at 2p.m. All are invited to her graveside service with Bishop Michael Anderson officiating and lovely Sarah Huff singing 2 of mother's favorite pieces of music, "Ave Maria" and "The Lord's Prayer", without accompaniment . The service will be short as that is how mother wanted it and there will be no viewing of her body as was her choice also. She is already so very miss but we also know she is with her husband Harold Clinton Read, probably dancing in joy together.
