Mary Pitkin Adams

LOGAN, UTAH:
Mary Ann Price Pitkin Adams, 73, passed away early Sunday morning, February 12th, 2012, in Salt Lake City, UT surrounded by her loving family. She passed away after complications due to a stroke. Mary Ann was born January 31, 1939 in Smithfield UT to Joseph Elton Price and Gladys Lorraine Watson. She was raised and educated in Smithfield, UT and later relocated to Logan, UT where she spent the remainder of her life. Mary Ann married Darrell Willard Pitkin in July of 1956 and from that union had five children. Mary Ann and Darrell later divorced and she continued to live in Logan with her family surrounding her. Mary Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her constant companion was her little poodle Muffy of 17 years. They went everywhere together and were the best of friends. Mom loved crafting, puzzles, playing board games and crocheting. One of her favorite things was gathering trinkets to give and send to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mary Ann will be greatly missed by her family.
Survived are her siblings Claire Price, Ron Price, Ed Price (Bonnie), Karen Fairbanks (Douglas), 5 children Julie Hancey (Bruce), Lorrie ValDez (James), Kathy Briggs (Thomas), Roger Pitkin (Trish) and Curtis Pitkin (Brett), 20 grandchildren,
39 great grandchildren with 2 more expected and 1 great great grandchild on the way and numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her father and mother, her sister Mary Lou Price, brothers Elton Junius Price and Clain L Price and her sisters in law Alice Price and Betty Rose Price.
Services will be at 12 noon on Friday, February 17 at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center Street in Logan. A viewing will be held from 6-8 PM on Thursday evening and from 10:30-11:30 AM prior to services on Friday at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Smithfield City Cemetery.
