Matthew John Serafini born September 20, 1977 passed away May 22, 2012.
Matt was raised in Bradford, PA. He graduated from Bradford High School in 1996. He played varsity baseball and football for the Owls. He received the Cy Zetts memorial lineman of the year award, selected to be on the PA Big 30 football squad and was on the silver medal baseball team at the Keystone State games. He grew up fishing and hunting with his dad, grandfather and uncles and continued to enjoy the outdoors after he moved to Providence, Utah with his family. His love of music was an integral part of his entire life. He attended Bridgerland Applied Technology College where he received a certificate in proficiency in Heavy Equipment, welding and CDL. He made friends everywhere he went with his personality, smile and his unforgettable laugh. If he was your friend he was your friend through good times and bad. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.. Matthew was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents James and Yolanda Serafini, Andrew and Ann Beres and his uncle Albert Hamett. He is survived by his parents Roger and Kathy Serafini, his sister Lindsay Serafini, his daughter Zanna, loving uncles and aunts, Traci Bell his significant other and his dogs Virgo and Reina.
Services will be held at the Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 Center St, Logan on Thursday 6-8 pm, a 11 am Mass will be held Friday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Hyde Park, UT. After the service please join the family in the church social hall for a luncheon and a time to share and celebrate the memories and life of Matthew.
