Maureen Wilson

November 29, 1936 — October 20, 2013

Maureen Schenk Wilson passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2013. She was born on November 29, 1936 in Young Ward, Utah, daughter of Charles Erhart and Clara Olsen Schenk.
She spent her younger years helping her father on the farm topping, thinning, and harvesting the beets. She was the eldest of three children with two sisters whom she loved dearly. Maureen married Orson W. Wilson on October 25, 1956 and together they raised a family which was the joy of her life. She carefully nurtured, raised, and clothed them.
Maureen served in her church in many, many important positions including Relief Society President, which she loved dearly. Her life was dedicated to service and she worked hard at fulfilling all her responsibilities. She will be missed so very much by many friends and dear ones close to her, her loving family and especially her husband. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the years we were blessed to spend with Maureen.
She is survived by her husband, Orson W. Wilson, her children Leslie (Craig) Alder, Sheri (Brent) Hadfield, Maria (Robert) Meikle, and James C. B. (Stephanie) Wilson. She had 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Carolyn (Elwynn) Taylor and Judy Carlsen. She was preceded in death by Deniece Wilson Liljenquist (daughter), Alex Meikle and Jaxson Wilson (grandsons) and Devyn Campbell (great-granddaughter).
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23 at 1:00 at the College/Young Ward Church, 2394 West 2200 South, Young Ward. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, October 22 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary on 34 East Center, Logan, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.; and at the College/Young Ward Church preceding the funeral from 11:30 to 12:30.
