Logan, Utah: Maurine Bostock Jessop, 77, passed away on July 11, 2006 at the Logan Regional Hospital following a lingering illness. She was born on October 31, 1928 in Hyrum, Utah a daughter of William and Alice Hulse Bostock. She was a life long resident of Cache Valley and attended schools in Hyrum.
Her first marriage was to Cloyd Jessop. They were later divorced. She married George Richard Jessop on March 18, 1953 in Ogden, Utah. They were married for 53 years.
Maurine was a very loving and caring woman. Her kindness and generosity was felt by so many. Her greatest joy in this life was her family. She looked forward to their visits and phone calls. She was everyones favorite Aunt. She had a keen ability to make anything grow. She truly had a green thumb. Her talents were many and she shared all of them with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Jay Thomas Jessop (Charyn), West Jordan and her daughter, Becky Adams (Craig), Midvale. Her four grandsons whom she adored, John (Amber), Nathan (Stephanie), David (Jessica) and Andrew. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Tanna Jessop and her grandson, Jay T. Jessop whom she also loved very much. Also four sisters, Midge, Ruth, Virginia and Juanita and three brothers, Ron, Paul and Thomas Alden. She also had five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister and five brothers and a grandson, Travis Jessop.
We wish to give special thanks to Dr. Bart Weiss and all of the kind nurses who cared for Maurine during her long stay at the hospital.
Services for Maurine will be on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 12 noon at the Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, Logan. A visitation will precede the service at 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Millville City Cemetery. Condolences may be extended to the family at
