NIBLEY, UTAH: Max Warren Chadwick age 92, passed away at his home in Nibley from conditions related to old age Dec. 20th, 2014. He had been homebound for many years.
Max was born in N. Ogden Ut. March 8th, 1922 to Lewis Samuel
Chadwick and Myrtle War- ren Chadwick. When Max was three years old his father lost his life in a tragic accident. Max was raised with his two siblings by their sweet mother.
He grew up and attended school in N. Ogden Ut. and later attended two years of college at Weber College before his marriage to Betty June Fullmer on 21 May 1942. Shortly after his mar- riage he entered the U.S. military and served during WW II as a medical corps- man in the U.S Marines.
He was assigned to the 4th Marine Div. and served hon- orably. He assisted many American soldiers that had been wounded in battle
on the front lines and car- ried them to safety. He is a real WW II war hero with 4 D-Day invasion landings in the Pacific (Jan 1944 Roi- Namur, June 1944 Saipan, July 1944 Tinian and lastly Feb. 1945 Iwo Jima). After the war ended he returned home to his family life with his wife Betty. They moved to Logan Ut. in 1951 and later to N. Logan where they raised five sons together but were later divorced. Later in his life he married Nadine Sant on 18 Nov. 1977. They moved to Nibley, Ut. where they resided 37 years together until his passing. While in their home in Nibley he was the proud stepfather of her 5 children.
He was a loving hus- band and father. He always worked hard to provide for his family and was loved by them.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Carl and Erma, his son Craig, his step daughter Sandy Sant, two grandchildren, one great grandson and one great great grand daughter.
He is survived by His wife Nadine, four of his sons, Michael (Wynna) of St. George Ut, Bob (Janet) of Millville Ut, David (Dianna) of Georgia, Jim (Eunice) of Providence Ut. Also Step children, Karie (Jeff) Balls of Providence, Marilyn (Terry) Huppi of Millville, Brad (Denise) Sant of Vir- ginia and Mike (Melinda) Sant of Idaho.
His posterity includes five children, 23 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren and four great great grandchil- dren. He also has five step children and many extend- ed step family that he loved also.
Max was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He worked most of his life in route sales, delivering milk and bread to area stores. Later in life he worked at Hill Air Force Base and retired after work- ing many years there. In his younger years he loved rid- ing and working with hors- es. He loved the outdoors and really loved to hunt and fish. After retiring he found pleasure gardening and working in his wood shop where he made many nice things that will be keep- sakes for his family. He also enjoyed playing the piano and especially the organ. Max also loved to sing and had a beautiful tenor voice. While he was home bound he enjoyed watching west- ern movies.
Max lived a good long life and will be missed greatly by surviving friends and especially by his fam- ily. There is now a void in Cache Valley and it will not be the same with him gone.
Funeral services will be held at the Nibley LDS Stake Center 3700 S. 450 S. at 12:00 pm on Sat. Dec. 27th. There will be a viewing from 10:30 A.M. to 11: 30 A.M . All those who would like to pay their respect are invited and will be welcomed.
