NIBLEY - Maxine B. Howser, 76, of Nibley, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at her home.
Born Aug. 29, 1935, in Long Beach, Calif., to Max and Margaret Bryan Maxine and went to school in Long Beach and then moved on to BYU.
She worked for Savon Drugs and met and married the love of her life, Ray L. Howser, on June 19, 1965. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles temple.
Maxine is survived by sisters, Maryann Smith (Joseph) and Connie Norton (Delmar); children, Sheri Orchard (Tim), Douglas and Dale Howser; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She has been a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and always offered her help and assistance for all church events. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and was a superior decorator, making sure all holidays were special to her family and friends.
Fond memories from her granddaughters were that she always had a new Disney movie for them and scratched their backs through the whole thing. Her daughter has her to thank for the many crafting talents she has passed on to her and that she was a woman who put everyone else first!
Wife, grandma, mother, sister and friend, you will be dearly missed and loved by all. You shall now be the brightest star shining in the heavens to us all! We love you!
There will be a memorial tribute made in her name where family and friends may attend from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at her house, 3580 S. 400 West, Nibley. Interment will be Friday in the Nephi City Cemetery. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at
