Melody Faye Nix Olson Crew passed away just before 7:30 AM , Thursday, July 11,2024. She was born April 17, 1957 in Muscatine, Iowa. Melody succumbed at McKay Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah to septic shock complications due to her fight against breast cancer.
Melody was residing in Logan, Utah and had been working for IFit (previously known as Icon) since 2004. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
In her final hours she was surrounded by all her family as well as other relatives. Ever giving, even her eyes have been donated to research and her legacy carries on.
Melody Faye, her very name whispers of sweet music and magic. When she entered a room, everyone knew fun and mischief were afoot. Her favorite animal, the sacred elephant, faithfully guards her place here on earth until the day of resurrection. Meanwhile, her ever playful spirit gleefully trips along like a babbling brook through the courts of the Father, ever happy, ever playing, ever loving, ever bubbling.
Melody was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Virginia Nix, both her husbands, Tom Olson and Monte Crew, two sisters Nancy Carol Nix and Vicky Nix Hathcock.
Melody is survived by three more sisters, B.K. Stanley, Harmony Lengford, and Angie Wilkinson. Her own three children, Heidi Olson (Jon Davis),Crystal Olson (Cameron Thompson), and R.J. Olson (Carlie Olson) her 5 soon to be 6 Grand Children. As well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be a Celebration of Life held at Allen Mortuary of North Logan (420 E 1800 North Logan) on Wednesday July 17, 2024 from 6-8 pm. Program starting at 7.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to the American Cancer Society.
