PARADISE, UTAH: Michael "Mikey" Dennis Funk passed away June 22, 2014 in Logan. He was born December 1, 1988 in Logan, Utah. He is the son of Mike and Shelley Funk of Paradise. Mikey graduated from Mountain Crest High School in 2007.
Mikey loved to fish and camp with his family and friends. He always brought along his camera so he could capture the perfect picture. Mikey loved to visit the elderly and learn about their history. He was a great cook. He especially loved to make his Grandma Smith's rolls. When Mikey came to visit the first thing he would do is give you a big "Mikey hug" and then go to the fridge for a Diet Pepsi. He had a special bond with his Grandpa Funk. Everyday they would go get a soda-however when he was with grandpa Funk it had to be a diet coke. Mikey was diagnosed at the young age of 22 months with juvenile diabetes. His family started taking him to family diabetes camp where he made many new friends. He is survived by his parents Mike and Shelley; his siblings Kyler and Madi-which he loved very much. Grandpa and Grandma Adams and Grandma Funk. Many special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Along with his special friend Dwight Taitiano. He was preceded in death
by his Grandpa Dennis Taylor and Grandpa Dennis Funk.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, June 26 from 10:00-11 :30 am followed by "A Celebration of Life" at noon at Allen-Hall Mortuary 34 East Center Street. Interment will be at the Logan City Cemetery.
