Michael Scott Winn

May 19, 1966 — August 30, 2011

Michael "Scott" Winn, 45, of North Logan, died August 30, 2011, in an automobile accident near Clarkston, Utah. He was born in Richfield, Utah on May 19, 1966, to David S. and Deanna Daines Winn.
Scott attended Cache County Schools and graduated from Sky View High School in 1984. He served in the LDS Coventry England Mission, and attended Utah State University. After attending USU he worked in various construction projects located throughout the Western United States. At the time of his death he was employed by Db Drilling of Clarkston, Utah.
Since he was a child, Scott has loved animals and being in the mountains. Dogs and horses were his passion and the High Uinta Mountains his favorite place to be.
Scott is survived by his three children, Nicholas Scott and Shannon Winn, Elk Ridge, Utah and Lydia Jayne Winn, Heber, Utah; his two brothers and sister, Bret (Pam) Winn, Salt Lake City, Utah, Garth (Sharla) Winn, Cedar City, Utah and LaDawn (David) Thorpe, Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by grandparents Florence and Shelly Winn and Spencer H. Daines.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the Logan City Cemetery at 12:00 noon. A gathering of friends and family will be held between 7:00 and 8:30 PM on Tuesday evening, September 6, 2011 at the Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North, in North Logan, Utah.
