Micheal N Bartschi

May 27, 1946 — October 15, 2015

Micheal N Bartschi loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle unexpectedly passed away Thursday October 15th. Micheal was born May 27th 1946 to Norman and Margaret Chapman Bartschi in Logan, UT. He was the oldest of 4 siblings and 3 half siblings.

During his childhood they moved through out Utah, Idaho and Wyoming. He Graduated from South Cache High School in Hyrum UT in 1964.

Micheal was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission from 1966 to 1969 in Argentina. He loved to pull out his rusty Spanish just so we wouldn't know what he was saying.

When he return home he became part of the of the Roller Rinks “Roller Rhapsodies”. This is where he meet his wife Donnetta Speth Bartschi. They married in 1971 in the Logan LDS temple. They then settled in Hyrum to raise there four children. Later divorcing in 2005.

Micheal was a talented machinist and retired from Schreibers Foods in Logan just a couple years ago. Any who knew Mike knows what an avid golfer he was. He enjoyed all of the courses in the valley and spent so many memorable hours with his amazing golfing buddies on and off the course. He loved playing in tournaments and spending time out on the greens “improving” his game.

Micheal held many positions in the LDS Church, he was particularly proud of his most recent position as High Priest Group Leader Secretary and Home Teaching Supervisor in the Logan 4th ward.

He was preceded in death by his parents Norman and Margaret Bartschi, his father in law Kenneth Speth, sisters Karren Kister, Tanna Bartschi, brother Jim Bartschi and brother in law David Christensen.

Micheal is survived by his sister Connie Christensen of Newton, half sister Marge (Pat) Mills of Oregon , half brother Bobby Kister and sister in law Jackie Bartschi Goodsell. His four children Donnett (Greg) Hartvigsen of Providence, Mikelshan (Jamie Andersen) Bartschi of Hyrum, Rhonda (Cody) Greaves of Ogden and Nicolle (Troy) King of Peoa. His five grandchildren Felicea (Ryan) Norman of Paradise, Westley Hartvigsen, ShaunMicheal Bartschi, Megan Bartschi and Matisen Bartschi. Along with his brand new great grandchild Addie Norman.

Funeral services will be held Thursday October 22, 2015 at 5:00 pm in the Logan 4th Ward LDS chapel, 294 North 100 East Logan UT. A visitation with the family will be held before the services from 4:00 to 5:00pm at the church. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.allenmortuaires.net . Funeral directors are Allen-Hall Mortuary.

He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
