Mindy Miller

October 6, 1953 — February 21, 2012

Melinda Jean Burnett Miller, affectionately known as Mindy, passed through the veil from this life to the next life Tuesday morning at 2:47 a.m., after a valiant heroic battle with cancer. Mindy graduated with “gold stars in her crown.” As one of her patients would have said, she was truly refined through this blessing in disguise which was exactly what

was needed by her and many around her, and her heart softened and she totally forgave all and in turn was totally forgiven and sanctified through wondrous gift of the atonement our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ.

Her positive influence in life was felt by many, family, friends and especially those she served and served with as a nurse, mostly in the geriatric field at Sunshine Terrace and numerous other facilities. That influence will grow as she continues her

missions in the next life with angelic assistance to many on this side of the veil as well.

She was born on October 6, 1953 to Dorus Bunnell and George W. Burnett in Long Beach CA. She lived in Many of the western states growing up and always had a soft tender caring heart for the less popular and challenged class mates etc. She Attended Nursing School at MD Anderson in Houston Texas. She joined the LDS Faith while in Houston and moved to Logan in 1979 with her then 4 year old son Gary.

She began her nursing career With Liz & Dr. Graham in Hyrum. The Grahams and Carol & Delbert Smith family were the first of many extended families whom Mindy was blessed with who grew into a wonderfully large extended family over the decades.

She had an incredible special testimony of the gospel and of our Savior which few are privileged to have in this lifetime. She was a very special elect lady. She was married and sealed to her husband David Carlson Miller and son Gary Burnett for time and all eternity in the Logan LDS Temple January 20,1984. After 5 years of separation and divorce she remarried Her husband again December 20, 2002.

She had numerous talents and gifts, being a friend, teacher and advisor to many using her gift of discernment to bless their lives, many of which came to her and expressed their love and appreciation for her example. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed making gorgeous porcelain dolls and teaching others how to do so as well. She did wonderful cross stitch and Hardanger needle work and had many framed with a scripture motto to capture the feelings she felt from each piece of art.

She is survived by her husband David Miller, Paradise Utah, beloved son Gary Burnett, Las Vegas , divorced beloved daughter in law Anna Burnett, and highly prized dearly beloved Grandson Connor Burnett, Murray Utah, her Brother Verne Burnett, Laughlin Nevada, niece and nephews, loving pet dogs and others including a very large extended family.
