YOUNG WARD, UTAH--- Morris Ray Jones, 65, passed away July 13th 2013 in his sleep while doing one of the things he loved, enjoying the outdoors. He was born March 3rd 1948 in Logan, Utah to Lamar W. and Margaret Wells Jones.
Morris graduated from Logan High School and served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He married Lynnette Griffin on January 3rd, 1975 in Newton, Utah. He worked at R.R.
Donnelley for 40 years and was still employed at the time of his death.
He loved family and the outdoors. His greatest joys were spending time camping, hunting, and fishing with family, his brother Randy, and friends.
Morris is survived by his wife Lynnette; his three children Zachary (Megan) Jones, Zane Jones, and Aleene (Chris) Poulsen; two grandsons, brother Terry (Terrie Lyn) Jones, sister Judy (Russ) Frances, and Randy Jones; and mother Margaret Jones Bingham.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thur. July 18 at the Young Ward LDS Chapel, 2200 South 2394 West in Young Ward. A viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday evening at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 East Center St. in Logan and from 10:30-11:30 a.m. prior to services on Thur. at the church. Condolences and thoughts may be expressed to the family online at www.allenmortuaries.net . His remains will be cremated.
The family requests those attending the viewing and funeral to refrain from wearing perfumes or scented products.
