LOGAN - Naomi Jenkins Snow, 79, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and grandmother passed away May 27th, 2012 in Logan, Utah after a four and a half year battle with Cancer. Born in Preston Idaho on May 3rd, 1933, the second daughter of Charles Llewellyn and Eva Farnes Jenkins. Naomi moved to Logan when she was 10 years old and graduated from Logan High School in 1951. Later, after receiving a Bachelors Degree from Utah State, she taught business classes at Logan High for one year. On July 1st, 1954, she married Quentin Esca Snow in the Logan LDS Temple. They were married for 58 years. During her life She and Quentin (Tim) lived in Logan, UT; Munich, Germany; Hanau, Germany; Loring AFB, ME; Cleveland, OH; Fort Lewis, WA; Fort Eustis, VA; and Enid, OK.
Naomi was a true Christian and a woman known for her charity, her warm smile, her non-judgmental nature, and her amazing positive attitude. During her last years, though very ill, she was still positive and was always concerned for others. Naomi enjoyed life and loved being with people, especially her family. One of her favorite things to do was spend time with her sister, Evelyn Raymond, whom she loved dearly. She accompanied her husband around the world and the country as he served in the military. During this time she held many church callings and served as Relief Society President and Primary President. She taught gospel doctrine classes on several occasions and taught Sunday school to high school age students before becoming ill. She was a faithful member of the ward choir. She loved good music, beautiful flowers, and people. After returning to Logan, Naomi served in the Logan Temple for 15 years until illness prevented her from continuing the work she loved so much. Naomi was very loyal to her family and friends and maintained lifetime friendships with many. She will be remembered for the many cards, letters, and phone calls to friends and family.
She loved to read and was very intelligent. She read many church books and biographies and was devoted to learning. She actually could understand and explain the book of Isaiah. Many family members and friends enjoyed gospel-centered discussions with her. She enjoyed the hymns of the church and knew many by heart. These were of great comfort to her in her last few years.
Of Naomi’s many attributes, the greatest were her faith in God, her love of the Savior, her Charity for all, and her unconditional love of her family. Everyone that knew her loved her very much.
Naomi is survived by her husband, Quentin; her three sons and daughters-in-law; Scott (Kris) Snow, Ann Arbor, MI; Doug (Kimberly) Snow, Providence, Utah; Lt. Colonel Craig (Abby) Snow, Tampa, FL.
