NIBLEY, UTAH: Neola Smith Anderson, 78, passed away from stroke related complications at Logan Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 22,2007. She was born in Smithfield, Utah on October 18, 1928 to Louis and Louise Smith.
Neola was raised in Smithfield and graduated from North Cache High School in 1946. On March 27, 1947, she married Harold Dean Anderson and they made their home in Nibley. Neola was a long time resident of Nibley. Together they had one son, Brian D.
Neola worked for Tri Miller Packing in Hyrum for many years. She then worked for a physician in Logan, where she enjoyed her position working and assisting people.
As a life long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Neola held numerous callings. She especially enjoyed temple work, and touched the lives of anyone who knew her.
Neola enjoyed many activities including gardening, outdoor activities, supporting and spending time with her grand children. She is will known throughout the community for keeping a very clean car. She also took great pride in her personal appearance, and enjoyed visiting with ladies at the hair salon.
She is survived by her son Brian D (Rhonda); Nibley. Four grandchildren, Tresa (Dan) Johnson, Julie (Matt) Stoddard, Randy (Jamie) Anderson and Dustin (Kortney) Anderson. Six great-grandchildren; Haley, Morgan, Alissa, Colton, Riley and Shawn. Including her siblings; Ida Frida!, Keith Smith, Clyde Smith, Marge Anderson and Ron Smith. She is preceded in death by her husband Harold Dean Anderson, and her parents, brothers; Levon, Lennie and Don.
Neola has left a legacy of hard work, commitment to family, as well as kindness, love and service to others. We will love you always and remember many good times spent together. You will never be far from our hearts and never be forgotten.
The family would like to thank Dr. Huffman, the nursing staff at Logan Regional Hospital as well as the staff at Logan Nursing and Rehabilitation for taking such loving care of our mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the Nibley 6th Ward Chapel, 360 West 3200 South in Nibley, with Bishop Brett Broadhead conducting. A viewing will be held from 6:00pm - 8:00pm on Thursday evening at the Allen North Mortuary, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan Utah, and from 1O:30am - 11:45am on Friday prior to services at the Nibley 6th Ward Chapel. Interment will be in the Millville City Cemetery.
