Smithfield: Norean Christensen Jorgensen Wood, 82, chose to return to her Heavenly Father and loving family June 8, 2005.
She was born September 6,1922 in Richmond to Ester J. and Ernest Christensen. She
married Marvin Leroy Jorgensen June 18, 1939 in Farmington, Utah. They were sealed in the Logan Temple on December 19, 1963.
Norean spent most of her life in Cache Valley where she and Marvin opened Marv's Café, in Smithfield in 1956. Marvin died February 14, 1966. She married Reed D. Wood in October of 1968.
She is survived by her children Terry (Sanda Lee) Jorgensen of Arizona; Tamra (Paul) Nilson of Salt Lake City; Tony Jorgensen; and Tim (Tamie) Jorgensen of Smithfield. Step children Kathy West, Logan; Steve Reed Wood (Minxia) of Las Vegas; Bette R.
Buckner (Mark) of San Diego; Julie W. Miller (Joel Schooley) of Logan; Robert D. Wood (Wendy) of Albion WA; Douglas Jay Wood (Karma) of Logan; her brother, Seth Christensen (Virginia) of Twin Falls; a sister, Eloise Hansen of Logan; sister-in-law, Marjorie Christensen of Richmond, and 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Fred and Lee; and her husbands, Marvin Leroy Jorgensen and Reed D.Wood.
Norean was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served for many years in the Relief Society. She loved horses, oil painting, quilting, crocheting, cooking and baking. Norean was a loving and caring mother and a friend
to many. Her wit and humor always brightened the lives of those around her.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday June 13th, in the Smithfield 12th Ward Chapel, with Bishop Michael Staheli conducting. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the Allen-Cranney Mortuary, North Logan, and from 10:00 to 10:45 on Monday at the church. Interment will be in the Lewiston Cemetery.
