She grew up in Davis California and was the oldest of 7 Children. She was a big help to her parents taking care of her siblings.
Norma graduated from Davis High School. While she went to school she was a majorette for the drill team. She also worked at A & W Restaurant as a carhop.
After high school she met the love of her life Richard McArthur. Richard brought Norma to Utah and they were married March 12, 1959 and would spend the next 59 years together. They have two children, Cheryl and Ricky, who feel blessed to have been raised by such wonderful and loving parents.
Norma was a very quiet person and left all the talking to Richard, but if she had an opinion on something she would let you know it. The love that she had for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren was beyond measure.
She always loved having her grandchildren and great grandchildren come visit. She always had crafts ready for them to make and they all loved her sugar cookies. Even the grandchildren that didn’t live close would get a box of sugar cookies at Christmas and for other special occasions.
When Cheryl and Ricky got older Norma went to work at Kmart and Standard Optical. Then she went back to work at Herff Jones so Richard could retire. She loved Bowling, she was in the bowling league at Logan Lanes. She bowled for Cache Valley Dairy and many other teams. She made many friends there.
