Norma Thompson passed on March 23 2016. She was born in Avon Utah to Palmer Bertinia and Bertha Rawlins Johnson, the third oldest of thirteen children. She grew up in Paradise UT. As a young girl she found beauty in nature and enjoyed beautiful things. She assisted her mother with the younger members of the family, in which she found great enjoyment

Norma was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint. She has a great love for her Savior and Jesus Christ. Her philosophy is: Our lives are a composite of many experiences, and our greatest joy and satisfaction come from those experiences that help us live and grow in the gospel according to our Heavenly Father’s specification: by Prayer, Study, Living, Teaching and Sharing. All who know her can attest to her kind heart, love of others and service in and to the LDS Church in Ward and Stake Board positions.

Norma graduated from North Cache High and Seminary. She furthered her education at the “A.C.” (Utah State University) were she meet her future husband. Wendell L. Thompson. She graduated from the A.C. with a degree and teaching certificate in Elementary Education. While at the A.C. she was a member of Walter Welti's Bell Canto Chorus. She continues to have a great love of Music and thing that are beautiful, lovely or of good report.

Norma taught in the Box Elder School District in Collingston, and then in the Logan City School District. Norma Married Wendell L. Thompson in the Logan Temple on May 29 1944. During the War Norma and Wendell lived in Berkeley Californian. She worked at the Port of Embarkation, while her husband Wendell serving in the Navy was assigned to Treasure Island. Ca.

They returned to Logan after Wendell's honorable discharge. They raised their family of four. She assisted her husband in His custom residential homes construction company. She used her talents in the design and décor selection for the homes. She furthered her Interior Design abilities as the manager of a Home Interiors where she provided design services to clients from Southern Idaho to Salt Lake. She formed many fond friendships from her association with the many families that she assisted in the Interior Design.

Norma and Wendell are the parents of Conley, Carolyn, Scott and Shanna. They have 11 Grandchildren, 26 Great-grandchildren with three more on the way.

She is survived by her Children, Conley, Scott (Judy), Carolyn (Russ) Wardle, and Shanna, her Sisters: Cleo J. Knighton, Elizabeth J (Therald) Quayle, Sister-in-Law Norma K. Johnson and Brothers Darrel L (Anna Laura) Johnson and Wesley D. (Merlene) Johnson She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, Her parents, sisters Ester Saltern, Lucille Yeates, Leda Sutherland, Vonda Cheney, brothers Ray, Earl, Keith, and Paul.

Services will be held Friday April 1st, at the Cache Stake Logan 4th Ward Chapel located on 300 North and 100 East. The viewing will be held from 10:30–11:30 preceding the services at 12:00 noon.
