Wellsville, Utah - Oral Darley Murray, 88, passed away on Dec. 3, 2013 at Cache Valley Assisted Living in Providence, Utah. he was born April 16th, 1925 in Wellsville, Utah, the son of Henry Bailey Murray and Mary Darley Murray.

He married Bonnie Maughan in the Logan LDS Temple on Oct. 17th, 1952. She passed away in Jan. of 2001 just shy of there 50th wedding anniversary.

Oral was a life long resident of Wellsville, Ut. As a child of the depression he grew up only knowing two things, hard work on the dairy farm and sports, both of which followed him throughout his life. Oral served in the navy during WW2 and served on a carrier during the Pacific campaign, to Japan. Upon returning home for a short time, he would leave again to serve an LDS mission.

While he was a farmer at heart, he knew that he couldn't support his family by farming alone, so he took another job at Jetway in Ogden, Ut. until his retirement. After the death of his wife, Oral continued living in his home, enjoying the visits by his children, grandchildren, & great grandchildren.

He is survived by his children: Carl M. Murray, Costa Mesa, California. Marilee (David) McBride, Centerville Ut. Jed (Marilyn), Hyde Park, Ut. Gaye (Rodney) Kirby, Wellsville, Ut. Chris (Roxanne) Murray, Murray , Ut. 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and one sister Shirley Teeples.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, twin brother Carl, Grandson Chad, his brothers Boyd & John, and his two sisters Pauline and Anna.

The Family expresses appreciation to the staff of community nursing services, Cache Valley Assisted Living and Dr. Steven Salisbury, Dee Stoddard and other good friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 7th at the Wellsville Stake Center, 30 South Center St. in Wellsville. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral from 10:30-11:30 AM at the church. Interment will be in the Wellsville City Cemetery.
