Parley Andrew “Hunter” Anderson, age 99, passed away on April 1st, 2010 surrounded by his family at McKay Dee Hospital. He was born November 21, 1910 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Parley T. Anderson and Laura Louise Hunter. He spent his childhood in Salt Lake City and on the Ranch at Border, Wyoming. He married Claudia Mae Netherly on November 10, 1954 in Cokeville, Wyoming. Together they had 3 children, two daughters and a son. For many years Andrew worked hard to make a living on the Farm at Border, Wyoming with his Brother Ted and later on with his son. Andrew was always active and made the most out of life. He loved his family and spent many hours having fun with them, pulling them behind the snowmobiles in the winter and giving motorcycle rides in the summer. He enjoyed his antique cars, boating in the summers at Bear Lake, and in is younger years at Lake Meade. He loved snowmobiling, riding horses, motorcycles, reloading and shooting his collection of guns. He could often be found riding his motorcycles or shooting his guns on the summer evenings. Andrew went by “Andy” by many friends. He always complimented people and made them feel important. He had the gift of gab. He always greeted you with a smile and a hand shake. He had an incredible memory and could recall many stories over the years. Andrew is survived by his wife Claudia of Hyrum, Utah; and children; Andra Lee (David) Bennett, of Evanston, Wyoming; Craig (Jaquie) Anderson, of Hyrum, Utah; Carrie Kropf of Mendon, Utah. He is also survived by his sister, Anna Laura of Apache Junction, Arizona; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild and several step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Theodore Oscar; and sister, Mindwell Loise.
A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 7th, 2010 at Allen-Hall Mortuary Chapel, 34 East Center Street, Logan at 1:00. Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment will follow the Funeral at the Hyrum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen-Hall Mortuary of Logan, Utah. A Heart- felt Thank you goes out to the nurses and Doctors at Logan Regional and McKay Dee Hospitals for the care he received there. He lived a wonderful, long life and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Until we meet again, WE LOVE YOU!!!!
