Pat Christiansen

Sidney Patric Christiansen (Pat), passed away, in the presence of family, March 24, 2023. Pat was born December 3, 1943 to Sidney William Christiansen and Betty Maria Jorgensen.

Pat was the oldest of seven children: Boyd (dec.), Larry, Rex (dec.), Lynn (dec.), Marian, and Susan (dec.). In 1964 Pat met a carhop at Pete’s Spudnut on south main in Logan, and frequented the drive in until he got the nerve to ask her on a date.

Pat, and the love of his life, Judy Christley were married on September 3, 1965. Pat spent six years in the National Guard. Pat graduated with an accounting degree from University of Utah, but found that he would rather be working with his hands and spent most of his career in construction as a master carpenter. Pat and his father built many homes and commercial buildings in and out of the valley. When they built a home, it was from the footings to the finish work. Dovetail joints or a new leg for a table on the lathe, he could do it all. Pat loved archery and being in the mountains.

Pat is survived by his wife Judy, his sons Shayne, Bruce, and Lance, and his granddaughters Kylee and Ember. A celebration of life will be held in his honor, at the Hyde Park Civic Center, 113 E Center in Hyde Park, on April 13, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to stop by to visit and reflect.
