Patricia Weeks was born to Ferris (Tim) Weeks and Delores Salvesen on April 21, 1947 in Logan, Utah. She was the oldest of five children. Pat grew up in Smithfield, Utah. As a child, she loved to read and to spend time talking with her mom.
Pat attended elementary school in Smithfield, then attended North Cache, and finally graduated from Sky View High School. After graduating, she took jobs providing book keeping work to her employers.
Pat met Terry Barnett on a blind date. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple. They had seven children. Terry was in the military so the family lived in various places for the first few years of their marriage. Eventually the family settled in North Logan, Utah. Pat sincerely loved her home and the people of North Logan.
Pat was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved God and faithfully practiced her religion. She served in a variety of callings in the Primary and Relief Society.
Pat worked hard to take care of her children and loved her family very much. She taught them to have faith in God, to work hard, and to be kind.
Pat enjoyed taking walks, swimming, painting ceramics, singing, camping, and reading. She also enjoyed doing family history work and often went to the LDS temple.
Pat had some serious trials in her life including the loss of her husband and two of her son due to tragic accidents. She had several health problems that seriously affected her. In the last few years of her life, she became so ill that she was no longer able to stay at her home in North Logan. She found a new home at Cache Valley Assisted Living in Providence, Utah. She loved the people who worked there. Her family is very thankful to the many people who helped take care of Pat through her illness.
Pat passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 9, 2018 at Rocky Mountain Nursing in Logan, Utah. She is survived by her four siblings: Sheri Spatig (Hyrum, Utah), Melanie Bodily (Lewiston, Utah), Joe Weeks (Lewiston, Utah), and Dennis Weeks (Boise, Idaho). She is also survived by her children: Eric Barnett (Logan, Utah), Dana Barnett (Pocatello, Idaho), Michelle Brower (Providence, Utah), Heather Barnett (Logan, Utah) and Tiffany Wallace (Logan, Utah). Pat has eleven grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at Allen Mortuary of North Logan, 420 East 1800 North in North Logan, on Monday May 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the North Logan 5th Ward chapel, 2540 North 400 East in North Logan, on Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing before from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in the Smithfield Cemetery.
