Patricia Ann Gomez

August 2, 1955 — September 20, 2024

Laketown, Utah

Patricia Ann Gomez, beloved wife, mother/step-mother, sister, aunt, grandma and friend passed away unexpectedly at her home in Laketown, UT, on September 20, 2024 at the age of 69.

Patricia was born on August 2, 1955, in Lynwood, CA, to Harvey and Joan (Mecham) Baker. She grew up in Miraleste, Rancho Palo Verdes, CA, where she was an avid book worm reading every book in the library at her elementary school. She went on to graduate from Miraleste High School in 1973. After High School she pursued her passion of skiing and attended the University of Utah for 2 years majoring in vertical powder skiing. After a brief time in Utah she returned to California where she received her education as a Licensed Vocational Nurse and went on to work at San Pedro Peninsula Hospital in the obstetrics and newborn nursery and then completed her Associates Degree in Registered Nursing from Los Angeles Harbor College. During this time, she married and was blessed with 3 beautiful children, 2 boys and 1 girl. As her passion for nursing progressed she later attended UCLA and earned her certification as a Lactation Educator and established a successful consulting practice assisting lactating mothers with newborns. A few years later she relocated to Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, CA, where she continued her work as a Lactation Educator as well as a Newborn Nursery RN. Several years later the family relocated to Virginia Beach where she continued her work until the dissolution of her first marriage. She later returned to Preston, ID where she would later meet her husband, traveling companion, and life partner Leroy. After marrying in 2015 she relocated to Laketown, UT where she would spend her summers and enjoying her passion for gardening, cooking, her cats and living a peaceful life. She enjoyed her winters with Leroy in Arizona where they escaped the cold for a more moderate climate. She loved her family dearly and made as many visits as feasible to see her kids and grandkids.

Grateful for sharing her life, she is survived by her loving husband Leroy Gomez, sister Lonnie (Bob) Bradley, brother Bob (Linda) Baker, daughter Brooke Lundy (Eric Friedman), sons Ian Lundy, Raven (Elena) Lundy, step-daughters Shirley Clayson and Lexi Gomez, step-son Nathan (Tennille) Gomez, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two nieces and seven nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Joan Baker, and nephew Paul Bradley.

Patricia loved and cherished each of her family members and friends. Her kind heart and vibrant personality will live on in the memories of all who knew and loved her.
