Patsy Roundy

Patsy Margaret Roundy, 89, of Wellsville, Utah passed away February 15, 2024. She was born June 5, 1934, in Amazonia, Missouri. She grew up in Sheridan, Montana where she enjoyed school, music, and working part-time jobs to help her family. 

Patsy was a cheerleader in high school and loved being a member of a square dance group that performed in neighboring towns.

She married the love of her life, Duane, on April 29, 1953, in the Manti, Utah temple. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She had a strong testimony and deep love of the gospel. She served in many church callings, blessing the lives of all who knew her. Whether leading music in church or visiting a sick friend, she always did it with her full heart.

Patsy worked for 30 years at Albertsons. She sang with the Bel Canto Chorus for 24 years. She enjoyed embroidering and crocheting gifts for others. Patsy loved living in Wellsville with her cherished friends and neighbors.

She was preceded in death by her husband Duane, daughter JaNae Jones, and brother Garvin Ferguson. She is survived by her children Christine (Dennis) Mitton, Debbie Roundy, Kevin (Sara) Roundy, Rennie Roundy, sisters Peggy Whitley and Gaylia Mathis, brother Garland Ferguson, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild with 2 on the way. Her greatest joy was being a mom and grandma. Her love for family was unwavering. She will always be remembered for her sweet, gentle, loving spirit.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11:30 am in the Wellsville 5th Ward Church located at 660 S 100 W, with a viewing preceding the service from 10:00-11:00 am. Interment to follow at the Wellsville City Cemetery. Arrangements by Allen-Hall Mortuary.
