Patti Ann Lindquist Walker, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on December 5, 2024, following a courageous battle with giant-cell myocarditis. Patti was born on January 23, 1962, to Ken and Marie Toombs Lindquist in Logan, Utah.
She graduated from Logan High School in 1980. On March 20, 1981, she married Keith Walker in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised four children: Joni (Kyle Harris), Ben (Anna Henrie), Nick (Courtney Cook), and Brooke (Greg Shafer).
Patti was a loving grandmother to eleven grandchildren whose lives she enriched with her love and dedication. The grandkids loved going to Grandma Patti’s house where she was always ready to play, cook, bake, and laugh.
She loved to swim, and she grew up lifeguarding and teaching swimming lessons at the Lindquist family’s pool, Logana. She was a constant source of encouragement, teaching her grandkids to swim and sharing playful moments in hotel pools, at Bear Lake, and in seas and oceans around the world.
Patti lived her whole life in Cache Valley, but she had many opportunities to travel the world with family and friends. She kept a large family garden every year, sharing with her family the lessons of planting, watering, weeding, and harvesting. Patti’s dishes and desserts were famous at family gatherings and ward parties. She excelled at making chocolates, caramels, cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, and many different potato dishes. She loved animals and they loved her.
Patti served faithfully in many callings in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, including the last eleven years as an ordinance worker in the Logan Temple. She served as a Relief Society president, nursery leader, Primary teacher, and Young Women leader. Through her service in the temple, she met many people who became lifelong friends.
She and Keith were always together. Keith built and maintained homes and apartment buildings, and Patti handled much of the day-to-day operations of apartment management. They were a team in business and in life.
Patti is survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren: William, Calvin, Lincoln, Kaden, Esther, Jenna, Ruby, Rachel, Eric, Hailey, and Isla. She also leaves her mother, Marie, her siblings Cindy (Chris Roybal), Terry, Robert (Jackie), and Pam. Her surviving Walker family includes her mother-in-law, Janeé, and Keith’s siblings: Brent (Rocelyn Flores), Steve (Michael Perry), Ralph (Marsha Milligan), Karen (David Petersen), Jan Jardine, Jill Smith, Jennifer (Matthew Hyde), Craig (Mandy Stolworthy), and Amy Astle. Patti will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ken, her father-in-law, David, and her nephew, David Walker.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Cache Community Food Pantry at cachefood.org/donate or to the Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
