Logan, Utah: Paul Mathys, 90, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009 at the Sunshine Terrace.
He was born on September 19, 1919 in Zuchwil, Switzerland to Frederich and Frieda Weber Mathys. He immigrated to the United States in 1952.
He was a master electrician and worked for Thomson Electric in Logan for many years. In 1971, he founded Logan Electric and owned and operated it until his retirements in 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, his son, Heinz (Robina) Mathys, his daughter, Sylvia (Bill) Jensen, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a sister, Margrit in Switzerland.
Friends may pay their respects to the family on Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Allen-Hall Mortuary from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Graveside services will be held for immediate family. Interment will be in the Millville Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.allenmortuaries.net
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cache Humane Society or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunshine Terrace for the kindness and care they gave Paul.
