LOGAN, UTAH: Paul Daniel Welch, 87, passed away Sunday, May 18,2008, at his home in Logan, Utah.
He was born October 20 1920, in DeWitt, Illinois to Charles Paul and Ida Mae Reynolds Welch .
Paul married Maxine Anderson, of Franklin Idaho, for time and all eternity on Dec. 23, 1943. She preceded him in death on Aug. 17, 1980.
He later married Marion D. Stock on March 15 1983.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.
Paul was well known for being the groundskeeper
with Logan City, taking care of the baseball diamonds.
He also worked as security for the Logan Regional Hospital. Everyone who knew him, knew he had a passion for baseball. He was an active member of the LDS church, and served his country during World War II in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Marion D. Welch, one daughter Susan (Melvin) Krambule of Sandy Utah, four step children DeeAnn (Allen) Schenk of Smithfeild Utah, Bryan (Karola) Stock of Boise Idaho, LaRee (Norman) Tueller of Paradise Utah and Robert (Thresea) Stock of Fairview Idaho. He has 16 grandchildren and
26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday May 22,2008, at Allen-Hall Mortuary. A viewing
will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary and prior to services from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday.
Interment will be in the Franklin City Cemetery with military honors.
In lieu of flowers the family has set up a fund in his name at Washington Federal Savings.
