Pauline Lamborn Clawson

October 22, 1921 — November 27, 2006

Pauline Lamborn Clawson, 85, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 27,2006, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born 22 October 1921, in Laketown, Utah, to John Nehemiah and Zina Rosella Earley Lamborn. She attended schools in Laketown, Logan, and Corvallis, Oregon, graduating from Logan High School in 1939, after which she attended beauty school. Otto Grant Clawson claimed her as his bride on January 27, 1947, in the Logan Temple. They owned and operated farms in North Logan and Lewiston, Utah, and Strevell, Idaho. They enjoyed many happy hours roller skating and square dancing.
Pauline worked in the USU Registrar's Office for many years. After she retired, she and Grant made their winter home in Mesa, Arizona. Grant passed away 28 June 1992, and Pauline then became a valued volunteer at Logan Regional Hospital. In December 1998, she moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico, to be near her son, David and wife, Beckie, and continued hospital volunteer service there.
Pauline was particularly gifted in sewing, knitting, crocheting, and fine needlework, and has left many beautiful articles treasured by family members and others.
Preceding her in death were her beloved husband, Grant; sister, Ella Rose Lamborn, and brother Reuel Lamborn. She is survived by her son, David Grant Clawson and his wife, Beckie, three step-grandchildren, and four step-greatgrandchildren; sisters-in-law, Alice Lamborn and Ruth Chambers; brother-in-law, Claine (Zada) Clawson, and many nieces and nephews who fondly remember their Aunt Pauline.
