Paul Vaun Bosch

May 29, 1954 — December 11, 2008

Paul Vaun Bosch passed away peacefully at the Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, UT on Wednesday, December 11, 2008 due to extreme complications following surgery.

Paul was born May 29, 1954. He is the son of the Margaret Wilcox Bosch and the late Henry Peter Bosch. He is also preceded in death by two sisters, one sister-in-law, and one brother-in-law: Renee Bosch Knight, Merry Lee Bosch, Beverly Collins Bosch, and James William Downs.

Paul served an LDS mission in Indiana. Upon his return, he met and married his dearest friend, Alyce Pitcher Bosch. They were sealed together in the Manti Temple on Oct.12, 1978. Their children: Alexis Ann (Miller), Zachary Paul, and Tanner Seth feel deeply privileged to have Paul and Alyce as their parents. In addition to being their dad, Paul was truly one of their best friends. He especially loved being “Poppy” to his energetic grandson, Xavier. He also enjoyed “talking computers” with his son-in-law, Benjamin Matthew Miller. Indeed, Paul’s family was his greatest joy each day of his life.

Paul loved to travel (especially to the Pacific Coast), shop for unique gifts, and visit family and friends, especially his friends at Sunshine Terrace. He also loved music, Christmas lights, rock-hounding, and reading. He mostly loved reading the scriptures and became very close to his Savior during his stay on earth.

Paul displayed enormous courage, faith, and perseverance daily as he battled chronic illnesses much of his life. Through them all, he demonstrated a positive attitude and a huge capacity to show kindness to those around him. When asked about his health, his response would always be positive regardless of how he felt, and he would turn the focus and compassion to those around him.

In addition to his immediate family, Paul is survived by his mother, Margaret W. Bosch, and siblings: Gerald H. Bosch, Jackie Bosch Rossetti, (Mike Rossetti), his beloved twin sister, Valerie Bosch Downs, Amy Bosch Staples, and (Jeff Staples).

The family would like to express their supreme gratitude for the doctors, ICU nurses, and all of the staff involved with Paul’s care at the Heart and Lung Center at Intermountain Medical Center. In addition, the family would like to express their deepest appreciation to the team at Wasatch Dialysis and Dr. Michael J. Stones. Thank you all for working tirelessly for countless hours in Paul’s behalf. Your kindness and expertise were remarkable and will always be fondly remembered!
